EMSA Approved Preventive Health Practices for Child Care

This is the 8-hour course that is required by Community Care Licensing in order to become a licensed family childcare provider. The course includes:

• Lead Poisoning Prevention
• Recognition, management & prevention of infectious disease
• Sanitary Food Handling
• Child Nutrition
• Identification and reporting of signs and symptoms of child abuse
• Immunizations
• Prevention of childhood injuries
• Emergency preparedness & evacuation
• Caring for children with special needs
• This is a two-part training. You must attend both sessions to receive your certificate.

1 . Tuesday, November 19th, 2024 ; From 1:30PM – 5:30PM

2 . Thursday, Noveber 21st, 2024, From 1:30PM – 5:30PM

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER HERE. (THIS WILL REGISTER YOU FOR BOTH DAYS)

**No make-ups for any portion of this class will be allowed**

Participants can request a refund only once with 3 days in advance (there will be no additional reschedules, transfers/refunds ).

NOTE: Please plan to be here early or on time as there will be no late admittance. Doors will be locked at 1:35.
