Stand-Alone Lead Poisoning Prevention in Child Care
by Solano Family & Children's Services
Need to add the Lead Poisoning Prevention to your Health & Safety Training?
About this event
A new law in Health and Safety Code 1596.866 requires the eight-hour Preventive Health and Safety training to include instruction in lead poisoning prevention for child care licenses issued on or after July 1, 2020.
This training is intended for child care providers who previously took the eight-hour Preventive Health and Safety training without the lead poisoning prevention content, and are now applying for their license. Providers in that situation are allowed to take this approved lead poisoning prevention content as a separate, stand-alone class.
Upon completion, you will receive a separate certificate that should accompany your current Preventive Health and Safety 8-hour EMSA approved certificate.
